Muir Woods California

Muir Woods is probably one of the places we wouldn’t have thought of visiting while in San Francisco if it wasn’t for someone telling us about it. The National Park is home to Californian Redwood trees, which happen to be 500-800 years old! The heights of the trees is staggering, almost making you dizzy to look straight up in hope of finding their tops. We can safely say they are the biggest trees we have ever seen! My grandfather visited Muir Woods when he was younger and it is crazy to think that the forest probably looked exactly the same back then as it does today.

We got there via the hop-on hop-off tour group City Sightseeing, which is the only bus tour company in San Francisco that does the 20km trip north to the woods.
